PRIDE Program Implementation for Long Term Care Facilities & Hospitals

Sheeley helps clients control and reduce litigation and insurance costs through its highly innovative proprietary risk management program, known as PRIDE (Promptly Report Incidents Disclose and Explain.) We designed this pre-litigation loss management program in collaboration with high-level insurance company executives and underwriters, as well as long-term care owners and operators.

PRIDE helps clients promptly and systematically identify certain defined incidents or injuries that commonly occur in long-term care facilities and hospitals. Once the incident is identified and reported the PRIDE team works promptly with representatives of the facility to execute an individualized plan to respond to the incident and employ strategic measures that have been proven effective in preventing costly claims.

PRIDE introduces professional assistance and strategy early in the claims process. This significant change in conventional risk management thinking benefits facilities in many ways, including: tempering frustration of residents and families by providing them with well-investigated, consistent and carefully tailored messages, helping them understand that the caregivers are providing the best care possible.
